Our Process

Saving you time & money while providing superior service to your policyholder.

Replacing isn’t always cost-effective or necessary. Restoration services often provide significantly improved accuracy over full replacement.

We offer a professional, guaranteed assessment for the repair and restoration of your client’s damaged furniture and cabinets.

Renovar has an extensive network of local craftsmen all properly vetted and insured. Let us do the due diligence, so you can get back to what you do best—serving your clients.

Restoration is often the fastest option possible – but we don’t sacrifice quality for speed. If it can’t be restored in a timely fashion, we’ll tell you.

  • Onsite evaluation: we reach out to insured within 24 hours for initial contact and then repair firm has 24 hours to contact to set up the inspection appointment

HOW DOES A PHOTO EVALUATION WORK?

Over 90% of the claims we receive can be estimated through photos if they are clear and detailed, along with a brief damage description. This is the preferred process for most adjusters and Renovar as we can send our detailed report within 2 business days. A Photo Estimate carries the same guaranteed price (subject to what can be seen in the photos) and a 5-year workmanship warranty.

HOW DO YOU RESTORE DAMAGED FURNITURE?

First and foremost, we consider restoration only if the items can be restored to pre-loss condition or better. There are several repair methods, depending on the type and extent of the damage. Some items require complete refinishing, while others normally require only partial restoration. Our first method is to restore only the damaged areas (e.g., bottom of bases, legs, tops, etc.) if they can be restored to match the rest of the piece. If partial restoration is not possible, we can consider refinishing the entire piece.

HOW DO YOU RESTORE DAMAGED CABINETS?

We first consider partial restoration. Depending on the extent of the damage, we consider whether the damaged cabinets can either be refinished or we will rebuild a box(s), and we re-use undamaged components like doors and face frames, or fabricate new components like where necessary. Restored areas will be refinished to match the surrounding cabinets to a uniform appearance.

CAN YOU REALLY COLOR MATCH? EVEN IF A KITCHEN IS 10 YEARS OLD?

Yes! Our skilled craftsmen and craftswomen are experts at matching finishes, trim, molding, and more.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE HOMEOWNER IS UNHAPPY WITH THE REPAIRS?

We will return to address concerns and if still unhappy then we implement our 100% satisfaction guarantee. All our work guarantees a 5-year workmanship warranty

WILL THERE BE ANY EVIDENCE OF DAMAGE?

No. We will not repair an item that cannot be restored to pre-loss condition. The items will look and function the same or better than before the loss incident.

WILL A REPAIR POSSIBLY DAMAGE WALLPAPER, PAINT, COUNTERTOPS, ETC.?

It depends on the repair. Since only the damaged components are being carefully removed and reinstalled, there usually is little associated damage. With countertops, we consider how we can remove the base cabinets without damaging or removing, the countertops and allow the kitchen to continue to function.
